Annullata la Primiero Dolomiti Marathon

THE TRAIL UNDER THE SAN MARTINO BLADES awaits you in 2021. Scheduled for 4 July, was canceled by the organizers of the US Primiero. The Coronavirus pandemic affects mass events. The 42K, 26K is 6.5K (Family Trail) will be proposed again next year.

Phase two of the Coronavirus pandemic begins to open up some glimpses of 'normal' life for sportsmen too, for events, however, it is still early.

C’era molta attesa per la quinta edizione della Primiero Dolomiti Marathon del 4 July, running event that in a few years has reached levels and notoriety worthy of the most famous events. È uno dei fiori all’occhiello dell’US Primiero, a race that offers the possibility of participation in a large and heterogeneous audience of runners. From the most severe marathon (42K) departing from Villa Welsperg in Val Canali and then passing through, and not just metaphorically, under the Pale di San Martino and reach San Martino di Castrozza, where the 26K starts from, a little less demanding in terms of distance and height difference but equally fascinating. The routes are immersed in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino natural park, where the view offers unforgettable views. Per entrambe le distanze l’arrivo è in centro a Fiera di Primiero, location hosting the 6.5K, a 'Family Trail' within everyone's reach.

Unfortunately, the directives to contain the spread of Coronavirus are still restrictive as regards competitions, and so the organizers decided to cancel the edition 2020 and move the whole project to 2021. A shame, because the registrations had already arrived copiously. Last year the 42K was won by Fabio Ruga and Barbara Bani, while 26K recorded the successes of Anna Caglio and Luca Cagnati.
