The Half Marathon Alpe di Siusi is Sold Out !!!

In the sixth edition of the Half Marathon Alpe di Siusi we were 700 runners who kicked off the competition, representing 27 Nations, the distance 21 kilometers and a vertical drop of 600 meters. To cut the finish line first place to Compaccio was Khalid Jbari in 1:21.22 leaving the rest of the podium Markus Ploner and Hannes Rungger. In the women's race, success of Monique Siegel, with the final time 1:34.17, which he anticipated Franziska Bossow and Elena Casaro.

A 1.800 meters of altitude, amidst green grasslands, and with a panoramic view of Sassolungo, Sassopiatto and Schlern. This is the natural scenery that accompanied the 700 runners along 21 kilometers of Half Marathon Alpe di Siusi. The sixth edition of Europe's largest plateau half marathon saw athletes from 27 nations compete on the course set in the picturesque setting of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage.

Lord of men's race was Khalid Jbari (ITA), who finished the race in 1:21.22,8. Behind Markus Ploner (ITA), unplugged by 30 seconds but in the lead up to the eighth kilometer, and on the bottom step of the podium Hannes Rungger (ITA) who stopped the time 1:23.36,5.

Among the women The victory went to the German Monique Siegel with a time of 1:34.17,4, that preceded compatriot Franziska Bossow (1:34.56,6) and Italian Elena Casaro (1:35.52,4).

The Half Marathon dell'Alpe Alm was also the second (and last) proof of the special classification Combined Ski Alpe di Siusi & Run, reserved for all athletes, in addition to the race today, They have completed the Moonlight Classic Alpe di Siusi, cross-country race 15 and 30 kilometers which was held last 31 January plateau. There are two prizes: a sum of the times half marathon and of the 15 km cross-country, the other ones of the sum of the half-marathon and 30 Kilometers.

Alpe di Siusi is saved over just for the sake of the competition and for the beauty of the trail, but also for charity. A team of local athletes has indeed come about two kilometers to the head with the aim of raising funds for "Sporthilfe Alto Adige" - the organization that supports talented young South Tyrolean sport so that they can make the most of their sports skills - being able to collect the total amount of 4.200 Euro. The proceeds of the charity relay race was then presented during the awards ceremony at Hermann Trojer, Governing Council of the "Sporthilfe Alto Adige".
