Duerocche 2017 : a trail useful to attend all ’ Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc

Running towards the Mont Blanc, but through the hills of Treviso. The Edition 2017 of Duerocche, Classic event 25 April, will be valid as qualification test for the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, the world's most prestigious race in natural environment.

The appointment that each year, at the turn of August and September, brings thousands of fans to challenge Europe's highest mountains, and spectacular.

Participation in the test trail on 48 kilometers of Duerocche earn two points for every athlete, that will help to determine the score required to participate in three races included in the program of the famous UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc): the CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix) of 101 kilometers with 6.100 vertical metres, the TDS (Sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie) of 119 kilometers with 7.200 vertical metres, and the OCC (Orisières-Champex-Chamonix) of 56 kilometers with 3.500 vertical metres. Challenges that annually contribute to write the legend of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc and, nel 2017, will also Duerocche prologue.

For the event of Treviso – ready to accommodate 6,000 athletes who will split between five locations (48 and 21 kilometers trail, 12 and 6 kilometers open to everyone, 14 kilometers devoted to Nordic Walking) – is another reason of prestige that is in addition to the assignment, already made official by Jute, the Italian Association of ultra marathons and Trail, Italian Championship of UltraTrail short.

The countdown to the Duerocche 2017 will live in the meantime a significant stage on Sunday 12 March, con l’organizzazione di Trail Aid – “Corro ma non tremo”, a self-managed trail that will provide an opportunity to spend a day of sport in the company, but above all, to help those who find themselves in difficulty. The proceeds will be donated to the earthquake victims of Central Italy.

Trail Aid – “Corro ma non tremo” nasce da un’idea di Ottavio Massaretti in collaborazione con la rivista Spirito Trail. Many similar events already organized throughout Italy. In Cornuda (departure at 9 behind the Town Hall, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII) There will be three tracks which will mirror the new paths of Duerocche 2017.

A long trail of 16,5 km (1000 vertical metres), a short 11 km (700 vertical metres) and a run of 8 km (500 vertical metres) dedicated to fans of Nordic Walking and simple walkers. Free participation (without inscription). Freedom as offering that will go to quake-hit population. Then the final third, with food and drinks brought by the participants themselves.
